METHODS AND/OR FORMS YOU CAN USE TO ACHIEVE YOUR OBJECTIVES
Use these!!!! Staying in touch, upset-free and essentially stress free has one experiencing life at a magnificient level, where we should be. Some methods take only one to three minutes and others can be done in from 10-30 minutes, depending on what you want to resolve. Do these regularly and you'll have very few unresolved problems.
(F) = Form
of happiness, confidence, and loving.
Primary:
This process, if you have any ability to be rational (which you do!), can have you
seeing much more clearly what is occurring and how to actually come to closure.
Highly, highly recommended!!
locate your thoughts and emotions and address some alternative ways of
thinking.
The Truth Test - Is it provably true? If not, it should be "not believed".
Getting in touch with the body and emotions:
useful exercise for being in touch with what your mind is saying that can be
picked up in the body and then applying the loving and nurturing to it that you have
always wanted.
Focusing - A method of "looking" to see what is going on inside, scanning one's
body which will inevitably reveal that something is amiss and then going through a
process to accept, hold, nourish and "complete" where needed. See the

and to vent, take steps to resolve the cause of the upset, and to create
understanding and compassion. See also on the linked site: The Anatomy Of
Negative Belief Structure. If you're dealing with a relationship problem, print out

Intuition - Does it work, and, if so, how can it be used?
"inner child" is saying about a happening or what someone did, then go one step
deeper and identify what is going on, then completing the process with a
statement that is "re-formed" (formed anew to be much more effective).
The Free Flow Of Thought Process - Julia Cameron's "The Morning Pages" involves
just writing out (usually in long hand) whatever your thoughts are (including "this
is a stupid idea" or "I can't think of anything to write", etc.). The minimum (and
this is important as it is necessary for "completing") is the equivalent of three
handwritten pages. Although it seems to make no sense, it does work - and a
number of healthy people I know use it extensively.
Go to Thought Calming and Thought Changing Page to cover this vital area. They are very
different processes.
THOUGHT CALMING - Thought changing (see below) has a dramatic effect on having more
calmness of mind. Changing beliefs is also vital. Thought calming tells the primitive danger
reacting part of the brain that things are "safe", so it is less reactive - the brain actually changes its
physical "wiring" so that it is also more automatic to feel calm and centered and takes little effort
to maintain - this is scientifically proven.
THOUGHT CHANGING - This is vital because if you don't do it, then you'll constantly be trying to
cover it over, compensate for it, experience bad feelings, and battling it. Cleaning it up only
makes sense - and it's alot less effort than living with harmful and/or limiting thoughts.
TYPES OF TRAINING AND/OR COUNSELING
You'll find many of these to be "supplementary" to each other, as no one type is the whole answer, in my opinion. The cognitive behavioral (rational emotive behavior therapy) has been proven to be highly effective, though doing "the two foot drop" down to your gut (see Methods above) is a very useful process also.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL - Proven the most effective approach to reducing
depression and getting people back on track. "Feeling"-based therapy can be useful
into a marveolous system, often used for substance "misbehavior" and "borderline
personality discorders, but I think it would be useful for anyone. Lots of good forms
to track and modify behavior. Best if done with private therapy and professionally
led groups (as opposed to AA type leadership).
EFT - Proven effective in several venues, from post traumatic stress syndrome to other
emotional and physical dysfunctions. It would seem implausible, except that our
thoughts are actually electrochemical physical things. Emofree.com
HYPNOSIS - Simplistically speaking, this is just a means of producing productive
thinking, including better beliefs and viewpoints.
Reiki trainer and an EFT practitioner.
LIFE WISDOM TRAINING - Actually courses that are considered transformational are
actually based on training in life wisdom. The correlation between these and such
disciplines as Buddhism is remarkably strong; they are just presented in a different,
MEDITATION TECHNIQUES - See Oprah.com, the trainings around A New Earth.
There they lay out all sorts of techniques, quickly and understandably. See the list
of "Exercises" to get a better idea of what is there - and to choose what to do.
RATIONAL ANALYSIS - See a version in the Problem Solving section, above.
SELF-TALK - While implicitly included in cognitive behavior training, this practice
embraces what you focus on, your languaging both internally and externally to others, "coping" statements, and such things as mantras - all of which contribute to changing your brain circuitry, thinking, and ultimately your happiness level.
TRANSFORMATIONAL - Interesting, with surprising results few anticipate adequately

that can make a quantum leap in having your life work much, much better.
This type of training is well worth looking at and absolutely worthwhile doing.

12 STEP - The most practiced discipline in the Western world. Many effective
techniques are included in these. These by themselves are positive, but my opinion
is that they need to be supplemented by learning and applying more of the
concepts in the other disciplines. It would be most helpful to have a qualified guide
and/or counselor.
