Alison Armstrong has studied men for about two decades, thinking initially it would only take a year or so. Her insights are invaluable and extraordinary, as are her trainings. (I saw one woman who I would interpret as being against men and very untrusting absolutely melt into understanding men and being a newly loving and lovable woman.)
This page, as some of my few other specific resource pages by name, is simply to organize what she offers in a way that is usable for a man and a woman, so that they can access it and reach the level of understanding that makes a relationship work. (Of course, there is no guarantee that either party will access and follow through on this, but Alison teaches women to be able to manage the relationship and to be accepting of who men really are and that they are "from Mars" - I notice lots of people referring to that idea from John Gray's book Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus, but few seem to really understand it and then practice it.)
While the extraordinarily excellent DVD series (available in CD, too) on the workshop called Understanding Women: Unlock The Mystery increases understanding for anyone, it provided for Jane a means for criticizing David for "not protecting her" - Jane totally misunderstood the idea and no one in the group could correct her viewpoint. Listen to or watch the samplers and then consider the workshops she has.
I recommend you watch these with others, so that you can expand and further understand, say on a monthly basis, starting with the workshop above (and perhaps you can share the costs).
