That we exist at all and that we evolved so far against almost impossible odds is a super-miracle.  I am living in a super-privilege.  Unbelievable.  So incredibly fortunate!  I am in awe!

WHO SEZ?

There are only two ways to live your life . One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle."
                                                                         Albert Einstein

But, if you think about it clearly, the only real option is to see the miracle of life.
                                                                        The BuddhaKahuna

Now, do ye think Einstein was a pretty smart fella?!  He thought life was a miracle.

THE DEFINITION

An event that excites admiring awe.  (And this one is a series of virtually zero probability chains that might not have worked out at any of millions of points!)

THE PROOF

The truth (verifiable scientifically) is:

That we came from nothing, no life.
We now have a new life.

Isn’t that legitimately a miracle?  An opportunity full of possibilities.  Full of experiences.

WE HAVE, RELATIVE TO OURSELVES, TOTAL ABUNDANCE

Most of what we have permanently is equal to the size of a bastketball and the things we worry about losing are small bumps on the ball, though they may be worn down we still have the ball!  So the message in life is just have a ball and not worry about the small bumps.

But how can we believe this?  How can we be convinced that life is a miracle and not a small tunnel in which we are a prisoner?

By simply looking again at how incredibly much we have relative to anything we could, or do, ever lose!

WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT WERE THE ODDS

If you look at Evolution, you'll note that the chance of life ever happening was very, very small and not even existent on any other planet we know of, in any form.   Hydrogen and carbon and oxygen combined somehow to start a single cell living organism, through an infinitesmal chance.  And then we mutated and benefited from "natural selection" until we developed incredible systems inside of us that keep us going and battle bad things, winning an incredible percentage of the time.  On top of that we have the largest memory known anywhere in the universe or any computer, by far.  And the greatest ability to think and the fastest thinking, far greater than any computer.  And then you and me got here through an incredible lottery where we had an infinitesmal chance of even being, the egg and the sperm (also miracles) came together with this incredible programming (DNA) and we survived to become the capable, intelligent being that we are.  Is that the equivalent of a miracle?!?!!!

And I ask you, is there anything to regret about life even if it isn't all we invent in our mind that it should be?  The fact that we can even "invent" in our minds is a miracle!

And isn't it preposterous, as the Buddha says, for us to make ourselves suffer by thinking that we should have more than is reasonably attainable, and at the same time be unwilling to take the whole (incredibly wonderful) deal as it is given to us?

It is a miracle I was born.  It is a miracle life exists.  It is a miracle that human beings have evolved.

It is a miracle that we have organized to create even more and invent amazing contraptions.  We can drive a car instead of walking.  We can hunt down all our food in one place (the supermarket).  We can drive on highways others built in cooperation.  Even the weather, soil, growy things - all support us.  There is a virtually endless list on it with at least 14,000 things to be happy about (title of book listing them, by Barbara Ann Kipfer).

Isn't this a miracle?

Is there anything to be unhappy about, really?

"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of others ."

And for this, I am also absolutely grateful!

THERE IS NO NEED FOR WORRY OR DOUBT

We have survived, proving that we know how.  (Duh!)

And we have wasted lots of energy on doubting our ability to do so, at least in a figurative sense.  We worried about whether things would turn out the way we thought it had to be for us to be happy, as if it were a surrogate for survival.  The worry was all a fabricated incredible story that actually meant nothing significant.

Once we let that go, we can appreciate the beauty and good fortune of life.
