ENDURING, UNCONDITIONAL HAPPINESS =

"THE DEGREE TO WHICH AN INDIVIDUAL JUDGES THE QUALITY OF HIS LIFE-AS-A-WHOLE FAVORABLY."
                                                                                  Ruut Veenhoven

This website is about having you do those things that will result in your making that judgment of your life.

Hoping that happiness will somehow come upon you, as a gift or a product of just living life is wishful thinking.  There is only the slimmest of chances that you will be taught and programmed right by your parents or society.  Experience won't do it, as everybody has experiences but few are truly happy - yet we expect that somehow we will "learn".  "Somehow" mostly does not happen nor is it often close to enough.  The only choice is to create it by systematic learning and training, just as in any "emotional sport." (Read And Then A Miracle Happens... Wanna Bet?)

"Know, please, that deep, enduring happiness can be BUILT - and not be conditional on life circumstances or other people.  It can be there for you, always, as a background feeling, no matter what!  Build this, and you'll build the most important thing in life!"
                                                             The BuddhaKahuna

Yet, we think of it as being conditional, which makes us very vulnerable, but needlessly so.  We can, indeed, build such a solid underlying structure that it is invulnerable to conditions...  Read further and then follow the very practical, very doable steps - it will change your life forever!

WHICH HAPPINESS IS IT THAT WE SEEK?

One definition:  "Happiness is the progressive realization of your goals."

That is "now-based", conditional happiness, which is, of course, fine, but it misses a big, big piece of what true happiness is about.  The true objective is to have a firm foundation of always existing deep happiness.

Deep, unconditional happiness consists of an underlying current of

1.  Feeling good about who I am.
2.  Having the confidence that I can, and will, handle any situation and be able
to produce happiness no matter what the outcome. (Not resisting or
fearing outcomes, accepting the inevitability of not all favorable
       outcomes.) (See Fearlessness.)
3.  Considering life (and its pieces, the world) to have the right stuff available
for me to be able to use for my benefit.   [Read Life Is Good]
4.  An appreciation for what I have and the immensity of it.  (aka "Gratitude")

This is what I seek to provide and/or point to other sources that provide it, so that you will achieve, without a doubt, true deep happiness.  Notice that this happiness is created by a "building process" where the attainment is guaranteed, as opposed to some kind of woo-woo or great epiphany type leaps or enlightenment.

Of course, we'll identify what the creators are of happiness and of unhappiness, a key goal is to have you be virtually "invulnerable" to "out there".  Read The Core Of Life - Just Maintain This And Your Circumstances Will Not Matter.

If you go through "the process" conscientiously, you will achieve that deep happiness.

HOW MUCH IS THIS WORTH?  HOW GOOD AT IT SHOULD YOU GET?

Since happiness is the number one objective in life, it would seem to make sense to become an expert in it!!  Isn't it worth 20 hours at least?  How about 200?  How about as many hours as it takes to be able to say one is truly unconditionally happy?

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

This section is about putting together the elements to achieve that underlying feeling and thinking (or 'way of being') virtually all the time, regardless of circumstances.  This melds the "good ideas" with the practical to achieve an unconditional state of being happy.

We emphasize practical, doable actions and exercises to achieve the very purpose of life itself.  To put it another way, these actions can be done by anyone - and no "giant leaps" into some miracle thinking are required - no extraordinary epiphanies - you just do the specified actions, all of which are doable and you will be happy.

There is nothing mysterious, mystical, or miraculous about the process - it is simply workable and practical - and it'll take some time, but the payoff for that time will be the highest of anything you can do with the time.

THIS IS HOW TO PROCEED:

1.  First, read the The Overview Happiness Discussion to get the overview.
2.  Second, take the simple two page The Happy Person Test.
3.  Do the overall Program For Increasing Happiness.  First, though you should read The Only Path To Happiness, The Eight Happiness Factors and then review the overall learning plan, before proceeding further, so that you have an overview.
4.  Read the Readings On Happiness (listed in the learning plan) to take you deeply into the subject.
5.  Install the Happiness Practices.  (Happiness cannot be achieved without developing new habits, which create automatic effortless ways of doing and being.)

So, start now on reading The Overview Happiness Discussion to gain a complete picture.

You can look at the Table of Contents for the Happiness section and read it as you would a book, but I'd recommend that you consider following the program designed to get the job done!  The Program For Increasing Happiness
