WITHOUT COMPLETING, THERE IS NO FULL PERSONAL POWER

As humans, we are like a spoked wheel. 

When all the spokes (little thin wires) in a wheel are in place it is said to be “whole and complete” and to have “structural integrity.”  It has enough integrity to even support a 300 lb. man.

Remove one or two spokes and the structural integrity disappears.

We as humans are whole and complete and very capable, but the bike we are riding through life on is often missing some vital spokes.  Things are not complete, not taken care of.   And it prevents us from getting down the road of life the way we might want to, unnecessarily suffering from the bumps, most of which are unnecessary.


YOU'VE GOT TO CUT THE CORD FROM THE PAST

One woman who has studied extensively so that she "knows" this stuff doesn't really "know" it at the higher level yet. 

The proof of the pudding is this statement: "The term 'self-discipline' is so loaded for me because of my mother."  

Yes, mother was involved at the time, but the conclusion and the loading were all done by this woman.

As long as any attribution of cause is made to a person or circumstance, one is creating a story and holding onto it, absolving oneself of the responsibility for it.  Until this "cause" cord is cut, and the person takes total responsibility for her beliefs and behaviors, there is something in the way - and the story will be repeated over and over to any willing listener, including herself. 

Part of the commitment to create a whole new future is to never again "use" the story in any way, as the story is not "the truth", it's only a story that is more and more engrained each time it is used. 

Once you've identified a story (putting it in writing, for sure!), then you should write down your commitment to "never again repeat this story in any manner, as it is just a story" and to "be 100% responsible for all of my beliefs regardless of where they were picked or copied, as I must get on with my life and concentrate solely on creating full power to get what I want in life."


THE DRAWING AWAY OF EMOTIONAL ENERGY

Anything that is incomplete draws away your attention from what you are doing and from creating a new future.  The incompletes figuratively fill up a major portion of the "space" so that other things cannot be inserted.  

Completing gives you freedom from the concern stuck on that incomplete.  

In one way of looking at it, “completing” moves that part of the past out of the future, leaving a new space available for any possibility you put there. 

This is tremendously liberating. 

I recommend you “complete” this process also!


THE MOST CRUCIAL COMPLETION OF ALL

Since one's thinking (beliefs) determines the quality and effectiveness of one's life, that is the prime area to complete.

When the "past" is incomplete, one's attention is stuck on it.  Our "survival mechanism" makes sure that we keep focused on unsolved gaps, although our primitive brain does not understand that it is not "life threatening", as it fails to differentiate.  Read How The Mind Works


FIRST STEP:  IDENTIFYING THE INCOMPLETES

One way to begin to “get complete” is to list all the incompletes.

What projects are unfinished?  (If they are up to date and on schedule satisfactorily, then this is not an incomplete.)  If you list an unfinished project and you know you’ll never complete it and you make it ok to let it go, then that is no longer an incomplete.
If you’re trying to decide if something is incomplete or not, it probably is not complete.

Include anything personal or in business or even in childhood.

You can also use the sentence completion process, using such statements as:

Because of (person), I (insert negative or limiting belief or consequence)
Because of my lack of             in my life,    


MAKING UP YOUR LIST

This applies to people, incomplete parts of relationships, emotional upsets or fears -anything you’re not settled about.  A listing of the types of incompletes is in the table that follows this section.

Write down the issue only, and leave a space between each.

You would go to the form you wish to complete and keep an eye on this list and/or use one of the other forms.  This piece will give you instructions on how to proceed and how to classify, if you wish, your incompletes:   “My List Of Incompletes - Compiling It”,  which will refer you on to alternate forms and any reading to do. 

Read for background and understanding:  Removing The Past From The Future: Identifying Barriers To Help Establish A Foundation For Success.  This discusses (and identifies) the preconceived notions that we use as barriers to creating a new future - which barriers, of course, prohibit a new future and insure a limited one.  Identifying the costs and the payoffs allows us to create a view that will allow us to make a new possible decision.  These barriers MUST be identified and totally handled if one wants to create a future that has more of what you really want.  Note that you can't have two things in one "space", so you get a choice - barriers or a clear space in which to insert a new future, based on plans, declarations, commitments, etc., to new possibilities in your life. 

Read The Past And Now, where you can get clear that the past brought you to the point you are but that it need not determine where you are going - you get a new choice and can create, regardless of how "bad" it is now, a great future, just like the people cited.

ONCE YOU'VE COMPLETED YOUR UNDERSTANDING, DO THIS

In the Table Of Types Of Incompletes, below, #30 is the most important.  Completing one's "incomplete" beliefs has a dramatic impact on one's life - it is totally life changing.  By incomplete, I mean that they are like a bunch of incompleted buildings, hastily thrown up at the time for survival (in a sense) but never modified to be structurally sound.  I certainly recommend that you not continue to operate your life based on mental constructs that are not structurally sound!!!!!   Note that among these old incompletes are a bunch of stories, composed of many beliefs, most of which are clearly not valid.
