MY CODE OF HONOR FOR MYSELF
THE MOST VALUABLE THING I CAN DO FOR MYSELF\

I will read this daily for 28 days and then review it weekly or more often, keeping it in my Reminders Notebook.

I do this in recognition that it is up to me, and solely to me, to take care of myself at the highest level, as best I can.

I COMMIT TO THIS CODE OF HONOR FOR MYSELF AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL I CAN:

To love and honor myself and to treat myself with the utmost respect, compassion, and loving.

To recognize and operate from knowing that I am the sole person to take care of myself.

To stop anything that comes into my mind that is harmful or not useful and to redirect my mind to something useful and/or beneficial.  To never engage in a negative conversation.

To make sure that my body is relaxed (totally at least twice a day) during the day and as I sleep.

To exercise my body so that I am in a resourceful state, filling it also with good nutrition.

To learn and become an expert on, and to implement, how to be happy.

To cease and/or stop at the earliest opportunity of noticing, the following useless practices:

Expecting too much of myself and applying artificially high standards to
myself. Instead, I will be accepting of myself, as I am, appreciating myself.

Expecting reality to be different than it is and wasting efforts on resisting it or
trying to change it. (Instead, I'll appreciate what I have and practice
gratitude, as it is good for myself.)

The useless and harmful practice of worrying or anticipating in my
imagination what bad could happen.  I will simply do the best I can when
the time comes and I will not mistreat myself by creating hallucinations.

Trying to motivate myself by negatives or punishing myself, for those are
not effective practices.  So I will simply look for what I want and then go
         for that.

Depending on others for approval and affirmation, as that process is unreliable
and not valid.  It is I who will validate myself.  Anything from anyone else
         is simply a bonus.

Holding myself in tense readiness for danger and threats, which are imaginary.

To hurry, tensing and stressing myself in doing so.

Trying to do too much.  I will simply do what I can at the level I can, and I'll
just do the most important things for me.  I will be kind and caring,
speaking in a kind and caring and supportive manner with myself, with
          loving, compassionate words.

I commit to this code this _____________ day of _____________, _____
